Resumes are screened by the Human Resource Department based upon the minimum qualifications for the position.  Only applicants meeting the minimum qualifications for the positions will be interviewed.  Because we receive a high volume of resumes, not all applicants will receive interviews. 

If you are chosen for an interview, you will be contacted by the Human Resource Administrator.  Following the interview, applicants may be recommended for an additional interview with the Director.  Human Resources will notify applicants of the final decision of selection or non-selection.

Recommended applicants are subject to the successful completion of job-related background checks including electronic fingerprinting and driving records when applicable.   All offers of employment are contingent upon approval by the Columbiana County Board of Commissioners.

Degree Requirements:  A related Bachelor’s Degree is required for Social Worker openings.  Accepted degrees are Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Criminal Justice and Individual and Family Studies or other related degrees.
