FOOD ASSISTANCE
The food assistance program is a Federal program designed to supplement the buying power of low income individuals and families so they can better meet their nutritional needs. Benefits are issued by an electronic debit card called the Ohio Direction Card. This card allows you to use it at any retail store that accepts the Visa/MasterCard to purchase food. The program goal is to promote better health and nutrition.
In order to qualify for the Food Assitance Program, households must meet several requirements based on federal guidelines including income, resources, and household size.
